Within 'Theocratic warfare', concepts such as truth, justice, reason, logic & common-sense all become very fluid. Essentially, the WS claims that you have to fight fire with fire, such that, telling more convincing lies than Satan is fine, if that's what it takes to rescue someone from his influence and save them, from destruction, at Armageddon. Isn't that claiming that, in order to win, God has to be a more convincing liar than Satan? Absolutely!
The WS has never been able to claim to have 'the truth', to which its many, failed Armageddon prophecies, plus countless doctrinal changes testify. Outrageously, the WS claims that the organization IS 'the truth'. As Jehovah God's Visible Organization, whatever it expounds is, at that time, God's truth. If God later clarifies His position, then He does it only through the WS. Wow!
As explained within Pt1 of its history videos ('Out of Darkness', link left, from 0:47:50), God chose the WS, to be His sole representative, in 1918. He did so based upon their zealous style, rather than the substance of their teachings. Between 1879 & 1914, the WS had been claiming to have threefold proof that Oct 1914 would see the beginning of Armageddon, 40 years after the invisible return of Christ (1874). That the teaching was a false prophecy was okay with God, supposedly, as the WS did its best, with the truth He had then revealed. Seriously?
JW do God's work because they're members of God's organization. It's obvious that they're members of God's organization because they do God's work. Cicular reasoning! Why do they do God's work? Is it because, like the Apostle Paul, they've been guaranteed a prize, which makes anything available, on Earth, seem like tat, so that they happily spread the message that such a prize is freely available to everyone? No! JW do God's work through fear! The WS has them believing that Jesus will destroy them, at Armageddon, if he finds them alive but slacking off. The WS is perverse!
The Holy Bible is the book within which to find God Almighty and to reconcile yourself to Him through Jesus Christ. The Watchtower Society, jw.org, is where the deceptive power of Satan may be found. Seeing Satan in action, through his WS, has strengthened my faith. I always enjoy encountering JW.
It appears that the WS theology, expounded by JW, on the doorstep, is meant to be muddled and confusing. The WS doesn't want to attract critical thinkers, who could soon go rogue. Above all, it requires obedient slaves, who are able to be convinced, using just the lightest dusting of reasoning, that the WS's teaching; What does the Bible really teach?' is the truth.
The WS website states 'We do our best to imitate Jesus Christ and are proud to be called Christians.' Yet, when explaining why most JW don't partake of the bread and wine, the organization states 'In contrast to the “little flock” of those called to rule with Christ, the vast majority of us hope to be part of “a great crowd” who will gain everlasting life on earth. (Luke 12:32; Revelation 7:9, 10) While those of us with an earthly hope do not partake of the Memorial emblems,,. Christians but not Christians? What the WS promotes most, regarding Christ, was his obedience to the will of God, even unto death. The WS, taking on the role of God (literally, claiming to be God's Visible Organization!), both desire & expect unquestioning, Christ-like obedience from its members; the JW.
However, there's a slight difference. Jesus fully understood every aspect of His mission, whereas it's clear that JW are simply mouthpieces for the counterfeit garbage, which emanates from WS HQ. To accept the WS teaching, reason, logic, language & common sense first have to be abandoned, as they have done. The problem, when trying to debate with JW, is that they believe that the WS is right and all, other views are wrong. Full stop! Period! Finito! Fin! A debate is can quickly decay to the level of an infant school, playground argument: Well! My dad, Jehovah, says it is! v Well my dad, God Almighty, says it isn't!.
Having first come across members of the Borg Collective (WS) in 1988, I've found a few questions which they simply cannot answer and will be exploring these, in the following sections.
My Q: Is the Holy Bible both the divinely inspired and divinely protected Word of God?
JW A: Absolutely! From JW.org (9th Aug, 2018) 'Of course, the Rylands fragment of John’s Gospel is but one piece of evidence among the thousands of fragments and manuscripts that confirm the reliable transmission of the original Bible text. In his book The Bible as History, Werner Keller concluded: “These old [manuscripts] are the most convincing answer to all doubts as to the genuineness and reliability of the text that we have in our Bibles today.” True, Christians do not base their faith on archaeological finds. They believe that “all Scripture is inspired of God.” (2 Timothy 3:16) Nonetheless, how reassuring it is when priceless gems from the past confirm what the Bible has said all along: “The saying of Jehovah endures forever”! 1 Peter 1:25.' [The name, Jehovah, isn't found in any, early, Greek manuscript, or scrap thereof. WS says one thing but does another!]
My Q: Despite this, God couldn't prevent His personal name being removed?
JW A: What's your point?
My Q: If God couldn't prevent even His own name from being removed, from His Holy Bible, then the Greek texts must have been tampered with and are, therefore, unreliable! You cannot have it both ways! Are the Greek manuscripts accurate or not?
JW A: We hope that you soon find the truth. Bye!
Apparently, the vast majority of mankind, following 1,000 years of training, will get exactly the same deal as did Adam & Eve. Impossible! Satan was present, within Eden but is destroyed, at the end of the 1,000 years (Revelation 20), along with Death and the grave. If the Holy Bible is to be believed, then any life which exists, after the 1,000 years, has to be eternal (no possibility of being lost). It's akin to the WS claiming that mankind has to spend 1,000 years, learning how to cook God a perfect steak, when the Holy Bible makes it absolutely clear that God is a vegitarian!
The post Gospel Age WS isn't in the Holy Bible, even within its NWT. Hebrews 1:1,2 (NWT2013) 1 Long ago God spoke to our forefathers by means of the prophets on many occasions and in many ways. 2 Now at the end of these days he has spoken to us by means of a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the systems of things. The prophets are followed by the Son. Not the prophets, then the Son, then His organization.
Mark 12:1-7 (NWT2013) 1 Then he started to speak to them with illustrations: “A man planted a vineyard+ and put a fence around it and dug a vat for the winepress and erected a tower; then he leased it to cultivators and traveled abroad. 2 In due season he sent a slave to the cultivators to collect some of the fruits of the vineyard from them. 3 But they took him, beat him, and sent him away empty-handed. 4 Again he sent another slave to them, and that one they struck on the head and dishonored.+ And he sent another, and that one they killed, and many others, some of whom they beat and some of whom they killed. 6 One more he had, a beloved son. He sent him to them last, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 7 But those cultivators said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
Supporting the understanding, that Jesus has the final word, are the above verses (cf. Matthew 21:33-46, Luke 20:9-19). Once again, no mention of anything which follows the Son. Call me dumb, if you must, but where exists room for the WS?
If JW swallow the above, which they do, then they can claim to represent the best and latest version of God's truth, even if it's very different from yesterday's truth. Wait a minute! What possible motive could God have, for acting in such a way. If the meaning of the simple language, of the Holy Bible, is hidden, then the book is of no value. Conversely, its simple language could mean exactly what it says, in which case the WS is exposed as a fraud. Pick a side. Either the Holy Bible or the WS. Both is not an option.
According to WS teacing, the created, non-deity, Jesus, died for all of mankind but only selected a church of 144,000 Christians. The Gospel Age is now closed (~1935), so God's Visible Organization helps mankind to avoid destruction, at Armageddon, during the period between the close of the Gospel Age and Armageddon. Really! So! In His infinite wisdom, God directs the clear writings of the New TEstament; a book directly relevant to only 144,000. To guide the 7 Billion, who wil be alive at Armageddon, he directs the writing of.. nothing. Not a single, clear word, concerning such a period. He's quite happy to allow all but 8.5 Million JW to sleepwalk into eternal destruction, including those who believe that the final word does belong to the Son. Absolutely ridiculous!
Through Roman Catholicism we allowed many Jewish influences to persist. We built churches and Cathedrals, mimicking the Jewish temple, including alters, candlesticks, incence, priestly robes,a tabernacle and we had holy water to represent blood. Did we have fun with the mass, or wot? We sacrificed Jesus, every time. That we got away with our complete misrepresentation, of Jesus Christ, is that we managed to keep the truth, contained within the Holy Bible, hidden from the people. Bibles translated into the language of the people? No way!
The Holy Bible has, finally got out. To make matters worse, it's reasonably cheap, in print plus being available online. In developed countries, literacy rates have never been higher, thanks to universal education. The genie is now out of the bottle, so what's the next plan? What about claiming that the real meaning of the Bible is hidden and that only we can explain it. We could claim that Christ was a created being and down-play the scale of his mission. Then, by claiming that his invitation is closed, we might get them to follow us. As a final touch, we claim that both the trinity and the cross are pagan. Nobody's going to buy that load of tosh, are they? A little over one in a thousand have!
I think my generation is obsessed with instant gratification. We want everything now, now, now.
